INDIAN SCHOOL SALALAH- clinched the championship in Under 11 and overall runners up in CBSE-Oman inter school chess championship

In a display of unmatched skill, strategic prowess and unwavering determination Indian School Salalah emerged as overall runners up in the CBSE Oman Chess Cluster tournament organised by Indian School Muscat along with the Oman Chess Federation.

Around 15 schools participated in three categories, viz, Under 11, Under 14 and Under 17. The tournament was a testament to the exceptional talent of Indian School Salalah's chess team. They displayed flawless strategic planning, impeccable execution and unmatched sportsmanship throughout the competition and emerged as champions in the Under 11 category and Runner’s Up in the Under 14 and Under 17 categories.

 Mast Dhayanesh Vinodh of Class 4-F and Jeswin Shibi of Class 7- F got the gold medal as the best board prize. These players demonstrated exceptional skill, concentration and resilience, setting the gold standard for chess excellence by winning all their matches in the tournament.

The school admins extended their heartfelt gratitude to the exceptional coaches whose guidance was instrumental in shaping the team's success. The President, members of SMC and the Principal congratulated the team and the PE Department for the glorious achievement.
