Jeyansh 2021 rolled out the second Alumni programme for the students of Indian School Salalah on 25th March 2021 at 6.00 pm. This was an exclusive online session for class X and XII students on “Time and Stress Management” by Mr. Roshan D’souza, Alumnus of Indian School Salalah.  In this virtual session, the students of classes X and XII were fortunate to interact with alumnus Mr. Roshan Dsouza who is a behavioural facilitator and counselor with a rich experience of 19 years.

The session commenced with the school prayer by invoking the blessings of God. The prayer was followed by the welcome address by Master Astitva Singh from XII B who welcomed the speaker of the day Mr. Roshan D’souza, Dr. Syed Ahsan Jamil, President of the School Management Committee, other esteemed members of the School Management Committee, Principal Mr. Deepak Patankar, Asst. Vice Principal Mrs. P V Anantha Lakshmi, Incharges, HODs of various departments, teaching and non-teaching staff and students of classes X and XII.

Miss. Khushi Atmaram Sharma from class XII C introduced the speaker of the day Mr Roshan Dsouza, former student of Indian School Salalah to the audience on the online platform. Mr. Roshan D’souza in his address expressed his happiness to be connected to his alma mater. While addressing the students about time and stress management, he touched upon the symptoms of stress, causes of stress and anxiety and how one can manage the stress. He stressed on the importance of physical exercise, proper diet, meditation and listening to music. There was an interactive session in which the students asked few questions for which he answered to the utmost satisfaction of the students. One of the students asked a question on how to manage the time effectively for which he said that we should schedule the big tasks into smaller ones and do it one by one without multitasking. He expressed that time management is the key to success and advised the students to stop procrastination and try to take responsibility for their actions.

Mr. Roy,  senior PGT (English) expressed his gratitude to Mr. Roshan D’souza for the interesting and meaningful session and expressed that  the students benefitted a lot from the session as the topic is of much relevance in today’s scenario. The session concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Miss Khushi Atmaram Sharma.
