INDIAN SCHOOL SALALAH  HONOURED ITS TEACHERS FOR EXCELLENT BOARD EXAM RESULTS

Salalah: The School Management Committee headed by its President Dr. Debashish C Bhattacharya hosted a thanks giving ceremony to appreciate and honour the teachers of various departments for the excellent Board Exam results in classes 10 and 12 . This first of this kind of “result success celebration” was the spontaneous decision from the President of SMC,Dr. Debashish supported by the members. The occasion was graced by Dr. Najeeb, the Vice Chairman  of  BOD and DIC, Indian School Salalah,  BOD, Mr.Wilson V. George, Ex Chairman of the BOD, Mr. Mohammad Sabir Raza Faizi, Finance Director, BOD, Dr. Debashish C Bhattacharya, President of the School Management Committee, Dr. Syed Ahsan Jamil ,Vice President and Academic Sub Committee Chairman,  and all the members of the SMC.
The programme commenced with welcome address by the AVP. Mr.C.T.Ramasamy. On this occasion, he recounted the goals set by DIC, management and the admin of Indian School Salalah, which paved way for such a stupendous performance. Mr.Wilson V George, Ex Chairman of the BOD, and Dr. Najeeb, the Vice Chairman  of  BOD and DIC, Indian School Salalah and  Mr. Mohammad Sabir Raza Faizi, Finance Director, BOD  were received with   bouquets by Dr. Debashish C. Bhattacharya, President of the School Management Committee  and Mr. T.R. Brown, Principal, Indian School Salalah.  Dr. Debashish C. Bhattacharya, Dr. Najeeb and Mr Wilson V George gave a bouquet to Mr. T.R. Brown, the Principal and appreciated his efforts as the head of the institution in ensuring good results.
This get together was an evening of celebration to appreciate the hard work and the tireless effort put in for the excellent results by the teachers handling class X and XII. Each and every teacher handling class X and XII (42 teachers) was honoured by the distinguished guests Dr. C.M Najeeb, Vice Chairman of BOD and DIC ,Indian School Salalah, Mr.Wilson V George, Ex -Chairman of the BOD and Mr. Mohammad Sabir Raza Faizi, Finance Director, BOD,  with mementos as ‘star performers’. Mrs. Kalpana Jacob (Maths) and Mr. James Varghese(English) were felicitated with mementos and shawl in appreciation for centum by the students in their respective subjects. Mr M.G Nobin, Admin Officer and his support staff Mr Mahendran, Mr.Venu, Mr. Harikrishnan and Mr. Sunil were honoured with mementos and cash vouchers for their exemplary service during cyclone Mekunu, where the school had been a shelter for more than two hundred people.. Special arrangements were made for the Muslim brothers and sisters attending the function for praying and breaking the Ramzan fasting during the celebration.
Dr. Debashish C Bhattacharya, President of the School Management Committee, Dr. Syed Ahsan Jamil ,Vice President and Academic Sub Committee Chairmain and  Principal Mr. T.R. Brown were honoured with a shawl and memento by Dr. C.M Najeeb, Vice Chairman of BOD and DIC ,Indian School Salalah,  to appreciate their enormous contribution to the excellent results. The guests Dr. C.M Najeeb, Vice Chairman of BOD and DIC ,Indian School Salalah, Mr.Wilson V George, Ex -Chairman of the BOD, Mr. Mohammad Sabir Raza Faizi, Finance Director, BOD, and Mr. Shankar of Fashion Apparells, were felicitated with shawls and mementos.
Dr. Debashish C Bhattacharya, President of the School Management Committee profusely appreciated the teachers, the Principal, the BOD, especially Dr. C.M Najeeb for his visionary initiatives in bringing out excellent results. He thanked Mr.Wilson V George, Ex -Chairman of the BOD for his long lasting and outstanding contribution and selfless services to the School.
Mr. Mohammad Sabir Raza Faizi, Finance Director, BOD congratulated Dr. Najeeb, DIC of the school, the Principal Mr. T.R brown, and the entire faculty that worked behind the extra ordinary success. On this occasion, he informed about various initiatives and policies of the BOD in pipeline for improving the working atmosphere and quality of education in the Indian Schools in Oman.
The Principal, Mr. T.R. Brown apprised about the implementation of Gurukul- the extra classes for the weaker students helped in improving the results. He credited the DIC, the management, parents, students and the teachers for their efforts. He appealed to the teachers that his wish and dream to have the school topper in Oman and Gulf to be realized in the years to come.
Dr. Syed Ahsan Jamil ,Vice President and Academic Sub Committee Chairman, thanked the BOD, especially the DIC of the school, Dr. Najeeb, Vice Chairman, BOD, for his support, monitoring the progress and guidance. He also thanked the teachers for taking extra classes as part of the Gurukul initiative
Dr. C.M Najeeb, Vice Chairman of BOD and DIC, Indian School Salalah, in his address asked the staff to rejoice and celebrate the occasion. He recollected the tireless efforts put in by the members of the BOD, the members of the School Management committee for creating favourable environment for the students and the teachers to excel. He called upon the teachers to achieve the next target- the Middle East topper from the school in the CBSE Board exam. On this occasion, he acknowledged that it was his happiest birthday, as the children have done exceedingly well in the exams.
The occasion also witnessed the address by Mr.Wilson V George, Ex -President of the BOD. He recollected the hurdles he had to face in implementing schemes and policies for the betterment of the Indian schools and how he overcame them. He called upon the gathering to work for the improvement of the students in particular and society as a whole, without expecting any reward from the outside world. He commented that the recent Board Exam results have greater significance as the results have been excellent and he congratulated one and all.  He also informed about the policies he has initiated to reform the functioning and welfare of the teachers and Indian Schools in Oman.
Vote of thanks was proposed by Vice Principal Dr. S. Srinivasan. He profoundly thanked Dr. Debashish, President of the SMC, Dr. Syed Ahsan Jamil, Vice President of the SMC and Principal Mr. T.R. Brown for their relentless support in improving the academic benchmark. He acknowledged his gratefulness to Dr. Najeeb, the Vice Chairman  of  BOD and DIC, Indian School Salalah,  BOD, Mr.Wilson V. George, Ex President of the BOD and Mr. Mohammad Sabir Raza Faizi, Finance Director, BOD for their gracious presence, commitment and encouragement.
The function was followed by a sumptuous dinner.
