Investiture Ceremony held for the Primary Wing at Indian School Salalah

“Leaders are not born but are made by their experiences in life”.  The morning of 29th April 2018 brought with it a lot of celebration and excitement for Indian School Salalah. The official ceremony of conferring titles and investing powers to the members of the school council of Indian School Salalah was organized with great enthusiasm and high spirits.  
The special invitees of this grand event were the President of the School Management Committee Dr. Debashish.C.Bhattacharya, Convenor of the School Management Committee, Mr. Vinay Kumar.C, Members of SMC, Mr. Jonathan Solomon, Mr. Manivannan.J, Dr. Abubacker Siddique accompanied by the Principal Mr. T.R Brown, Assistant Vice Principal  (Academics-Senior) Mr. C.T Ramasamy, Assistant Vice Principal, Middle School Mrs. Ananthalakshmi, Primary School Incharge Mrs. Reenu Davis graced the occasion.
The function commenced with a soulful prayer song rendered to evoke God’s blessings on the school and the children. The Junior Captains, Master. Aarav Malviya of Class II C and Miss. Meghna Antony of Class II D extended a hearty welcome to the Chief Guest and other distinguished guests.This was followed by an invigorating welcome song presented by the choir group of classes I to IV. The vibrant stars of Class III compered the programme and enlightened the audience through their words.
The President of the School Management Committee Dr. Debashish.C.Bhattacharya and the Principal, Mr.T.R.Brown honoured the Junior Boy Captain Master Aarav Malviya of Class II C, Junior Girl Captain Miss. Meghana Antony of Class II D, Junior Boy Vice Captain Master Adidev Manoj Nambiar of Class II A, Junior Girl Vice Captain Miss. Huda Tasneem Irshad of Class II J, Primary Boy Captain Master Aditya Verma of Class IV A, Primary Girl Captain Miss. Zaina Fathima of Class IV J, Primary Boy Vice Captain Master Advaith Anish of Class IV E and Primary Girl Vice Captain Miss. Kruti Kalpeshbhai Patel of Class IV D with the badges. 
The CCA Incharge for Class IV, Mrs. Cini Jayaprakash introduced all the new House Mistresses for the current Academic Year and invited them to announce the names of the office bearers. Mr. Vinay Kumar, Convenor of SMC, Mr. Jonathan Solomon, Mr. Manivannan.J, Dr. Abubacker Siddique, Members of SMC conferred the badges to the office bearers of the four houses respectively.
 The Primary Girl Captain Miss. Zaina Fathima of Class IV J administered the oath to the student council. A dance rendition by the Primary dance team added colour and vibrancy to the event.
The President of the School Management Committee, Dr. Debashish.C.Bhattacharya addressed the assemblage. He congratulated the office bearers and expressed his happiness on being present on such a magnificent occasion. He also exhorted them to uphold the values and touch the lives of their fellowmates. He urged the children to create a positive growth within themselves and be an example to others. He also said that “you do not become a good human being only by getting a lot of knowledge, but learning the right manners, getting adequate knowledge, and learning the most important virtues of love, sympathy, empathy, compassion and caring for one and all.”

The formal vote of thanks was a poetic expression of gratitude to one and all present by Master Advaith Anish of Class IV E and Miss. Kruti Kalpeshbhai Patel of Class IV D. The solemn ceremony concluded with the National Anthem.
