Valedictory Ceremony signifies a golden age of a new beginning where students embark on an exciting new chapter in their life. Indian School Salalah organized Valedictory Function for its outgoing batch of class XII in an unprecedented and solemn ambience on Friday, 9 February 2023 in the school premises. The occasion was graced by Dr. Syed Ahsan Jamil, President, School Management Committee, esteemed members, SMC, distinguished guests, Principal, Mr. Deepak Patankar,   AVPs, Mr. Vipindas and Mrs. Anita Rose,   teachers, parents and of course, the adorable valedictorians.

The Ceremony started off with the marching of the students in their elegant graduation gowns with their Class teachers of all the five sections followed by marching of HODs, Admins and esteemed members of School Management Committee in ceremonial gowns to the seats assigned for them. The whole atmosphere echoed with the Prayer song to evoke the blessings of the Almighty followed by the auspicious ceremony, lighting the lamp as a symbol of gratitude for the abundance that the divine has bestowed.  Mrs. Dhanya Devi (Faculty Commerce Dept.) accorded a cordial welcome to the august gathering.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Deepak Patankar, the Principal focused on the academics and the valuable last lap of this academic session for the students.  He motivated the students to do good research and choose the prestigious universities and courses wisely. At the end of his speech, he showered them with good wishes to be victorious in all their future endeavors. The President of the school management committee, Dr. Syed Ahsan Jamil, other esteemed members of the school management committee and the HOD’s along with the Principal presented the mementoes and  citations to the students to cherish the unforgettable moment.

Dr. Syed Ahsan Jamil, President, School Management Committee, in his address highlighted the importance of the parents as they are the living God for their children. He added due credit to the role of the teachers right from Kindergarten in the lives of the students.  He advised the students to learn to remain steadfast and brave to face the harsh realities of life and inspired them with the quote, “Destiny is not created by the shoes we wear but by the steps we take.”

Master Ayush, (XII D) and Master Veneet, (XII B), in their emotional speeches, shared their nostalgic reminiscences of their pleasant days they spent at Indian School Salalah. Master Samved (XII C), Miss Calista (XII B), Miss Jeni Magdalene and Miss Rahma Mohammed (XII A) also expressed their nostalgic moments and expressed their gratitude to their alma mater for what they are today. They expressed their heartfelt gratitude on behalf of all the students of Class XII to the Management, Principal and teachers for their continuous support provided to them at school. Mr. Hareesh K P, Teacher, Social Science Dept. enthralled the gathering with his melodious song.

The President, esteemed members of SMC, Principal, Asst. Vice Principals and all the subject teachers joined the valedictorians for the class photographs. After the photography session, the students along with their respective class teacher and subject teachers gathered for the cake –cutting ceremony to mark the significant occasion.

The solemn event was compered and coordinated by Mr. Amit Rathod, Coordinator of Class XII.  The momentous celebration came to an end with the vote of thanks proposed by the school Head boy, Master Samved Shaji   and the school Head Girl Miss Meghna Jagadeep.
