PARENT TEACHER MEETING WITH PARENTS OF CLASS X HELD ON 24^THAUGUST

A Parent- Teacher Meeting was held for the students of class X on 24^th August 2019 in the school auditorium to brief the parents on Maths Level 1 and 2 Exam and the remodelled assessment. The meeting was presided over by Mr. Deepak Patankar, the Principal. The meeting was attended by the Vice Principal, Asst. Vice Principals, Department Heads, teachers, parents and students of Class 10. The session began after a general introduction by Mr. Binoy C.A. (Class X Co-ordinator)

Dr. S. Srinivasan, the Vice- Principal, in his address briefed the parents regarding the remodelled assessment for the academic year 2019-20. He explained the criteria and areas of internal assessment. The purpose of Maths Exam Level 1 and 2 was also explained in detail. The parents were also informed regarding the hike in the CBSE exam fee.

 Principal, Mr. Deepak Patankar, in his address, highlighted the reasons why Maths is considered to be a difficult subject and the remedy to overcome this difficulty. He also stressed on the need for regular revision and preparation, and the role of the parents in a child’s academic performance. In his address, the need and schedule of the Gurukul Class was explained. A proposal for a single preliminary examination was made to make the students to take the exams seriously. Proposal to have crash courses based on their level of performance in the Preliminary was also highlighted.

A few questions were raised by the parents regarding the Date of Supplementary Examination, the last working day before the Board Exams and the date of Board Exams. All the relevant questions were answered to their satisfaction.

The General Meeting came to a conclusion at 7.30pm and after that the parents met the respective subject teachers regarding the academic progress of their wards
