“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”– Lao Tzu
Dear parents and guardians,
It gives me immense pleasure to introduce myself, Deepak Patankar, as the principal of Indian School Salalah and I am very excited to begin my new journey in the school, soon after the summer break. The school with its persevering students, ever committed staff and supportive management have always created a legacy of its own and I intend to continue these success stories through the coming years.
This is the start of my 30th year in education. As a passionate academician, avid sportsperson and a creative thinker, all through my long and illustrious career I have brought in a broad range of experiences in education and to my role as a principal of the schools that I have headed. Education, for me, is a life-long learning process and I am confident to learn much about the uniqueness of Indian School Salalah & add value to the institution in the best possible manner.
We strongly believe that parents are our biggest strength who give us the support and confidence to move ahead. During the course of the year, it is my belief that together we will redefine the life of every child and prepare them for bigger and challenging roles ahead in life. As a Principal, I would welcome and appreciate your comments and feedback as we commence another chapter in our quest for better learning.
It reminds me of a popular saying “The past cannot be changed; but the future is yet in your power”. I welcome you all to join hands with the school in our pursuit to create a better future for our children by making them responsible global citizens with a will to make a difference.
Wishing you all a very successful academic year!
Warm regards and best wishes,
